What is the average daily budget for Google Ads?

What is the average daily budget for Google Ads?

The daily budget is the amount you decide to spend on average every day for your ads. Google Ads does not apply it rigidly: on high-demand days it may spend up to twice as much, making up for it on quieter days, but the monthly ceiling remains the daily budget multiplied by the days of the month.

As for the figures, the technical minimum to gather useful data is around 5-10 euros per day; below that threshold campaigns do not generate enough data to be optimized. For an SME that wants concrete, measurable results, realistic ranges generally sit between 10 and 50 euros per day, with cost-per-click varying greatly by industry. In very competitive niches the figures go up.

A common mistake is to think of the daily budget as the entire cost of the campaign: that budget only covers the actual advertising spend to Google. With AImpeto, strategic consultation, setup and daily campaign management are included in the cost of the service: the budget you set is spent entirely on visibility and clicks, not on hours of work.

During the initial consultation we help you define the right daily budget based on the real cost-per-click in your market and the value of your average customer.

How to calculate the right daily budget

The calculation starts from the end: how many customers do you want per month? If an average customer is worth €500 of margin, the sustainable cost per lead is a fraction of that figure. From there you work backwards: target cost per lead × landing page conversion rate = sustainable cost per click; cost per click × clicks needed per day = daily budget.

Practical example: with an average €2 click and a landing page converting at 5%, each lead costs about €40. If the goal is 30 leads per month, the required budget is around €1,200 monthly, i.e. €40 per day.

The problem with budgets that are too low

Below a certain threshold, the problem is not just the volume of results but the quality of the data: with a few clicks per week the algorithm does not get enough conversions to understand which searches convert, and automatic optimization stays blind. Manual analysis becomes statistically fragile too.

That is why it is better to concentrate a larger budget on a few very relevant campaigns and keywords, rather than spreading it thin: concentration generates data, data generates optimization.

When to increase the budget (and when not)

The budget goes up when the numbers justify it: if the cost per conversion is stable below the profitability threshold and the campaigns are exhausting the daily budget (missing impressions due to depletion), there is room to scale. Increases should be gradual, about 20-30% at a time, giving the algorithm time to recalibrate.

It should not increase when the cost per conversion is already at the limit or your capacity to handle leads is saturated: more budget in those conditions means paying more for the same result. Optimize first, scale later.
